Interest Group “Partners for Defence” founded

- Volver a la vista general

Geopolitical shifts call for new solutions, especially in the field of defense and armaments. The newly founded interest group Partners for Defence, an alliance of eight leading industrial companies, can provide the defense industry with highly automated production solutions in a short time thanks to its broad-based expertise. P4D will present for the first time how this can be achieved at Enforce Tac, taking place from February 23 to 25, 2026 in Nuremberg.

The geopolitical upheavals of recent years show that the European Union must realign its military capabilities if it wants to ensure the long-term defense readiness of its member states. The strategy cannot be to rely exclusively on defense corporations from third countries and, in an emergency, to remain dependent on their spare parts deliveries and software updates.

Europe must be able to act autonomously and avoid dependencies as far as possible. Achieving this goal requires, among other things, massive investments in the relevant production capacities. This is precisely where the newly founded Partners for Defence interest group, or P4D for short, comes in. The network of currently eight highly specialized industrial companies, all with proven expertise in their respective fields, aims to pool its capabilities in order to provide the defense industry with comprehensive production solutions in the best possible way.

Broad-based expertise for end-to-end solutions

The competence fields of the eight partners are ideally suited for this purpose. Plant manufacturer M.A.i stands for intelligent automation systems for high-tech industries, Stäubli Robotics for high-precision industrial robots, Taktomat for excellence in drive technology, Rösler for expertise in surface finishing, Schläger M-Tech for plastics engineering and mechatronics know-how, bdtronic for solutions in dosing, heat staking and plasma, senswork for machine vision and AI, and Asis for state-of-the-art systems in surface technology.

This alliance combines experience, technological excellence and innovative strength across all areas relevant to the defense industry.

The aim of the partnership is to create synergies, share know-how and jointly develop high-performance solutions. Close collaboration among the members enables more efficient project execution, faster access to cutting-edge technologies and adherence to the highest quality standards. P4D stands for responsibility, reliability and technological strength and aims to make a sustainable contribution to industrial performance in security-critical sectors.
