Precision Surface Finishing for Orthopedic Excellence
For over 80 years, Rösler has been the world market leader in surface finishing technology - and surface finishing is our DNA.
At AAOS 2026 (March 3-5) in New Orleans, Rösler USA invites orthopedic implant manufacturers, surgical instrument producers, and contract manufacturers to discover how our automated mass finishing and shot blasting solutions eliminate manual polishing while delivering 100% reproducible, biocompatible surfaces.
Our systems are trusted by leading orthopedic OEMs worldwide. From hip and knee implants to surgical instruments and 3D-printed cranial plates, Rösler delivers the smooth, homogeneous surfaces that meet the most stringent FDA and ISO 13485 requirements.
Multi-Surf Finisher (RMSF Series)
Our flagship technology for knee and hip implants. The RMSF delivers fully automated "box finishing"âsmoothing hard-to-access internal joint boxes that previously required manual work. Processing times are up to 4x faster than conventional drag finishing, achieving surface roughness below Ra 0.1 ”m with complete reproducibility. Rotating work spindles enable precise oscillation and targeted material flow through complex geometries.
Drag Finisher (R 6/1000 SF)
The industry standard for high-value orthopedic implants. Work pieces are individually mounted and "dragged" through stationary media, producing 40x higher processing intensity than conventional systems. Ideal for hip TEPs, femoral heads, acetabular cups, and knee femoral components requiring mirror-smooth finishes with Ra values below 0.02 ”m.
FKS Centrifugal Disc Finishing Systems
Achieving 10-15x faster processing than conventional vibratory finishing, our FKS series excels at small, detailed components: dental implants, bone screws, stents, and 3D-printed cranial plates. Perfect for high-volume production requiring consistent, medical-grade polishing.
Rotary & Tub Vibrators
Cost-effective batch processing for bone plates, bone screws, and surgical instruments. Flexible and highly economical for less sensitive workpieces requiring deburring, edge radiusing, and surface smoothing.
